The short version

Nurtaire is a private care notebook. The app does not have an account system, advertising, analytics, or an application server. Care records you create in Nurtaire are stored on your iPhone. We do not receive those records.

If you turn on automatic backup, Nurtaire creates an encrypted backup on your device and saves that file in your personal iCloud Drive. If you make a manual export or share a care file, the encrypted file goes only to the destination you choose.

Information you keep in Nurtaire

You may choose to enter information about yourself or someone you care for, including:

  • Names and care-profile details, such as conditions, allergies, and notes.
  • Medication names, instructions, schedules, and dose history.
  • Journal notes, symptoms, mood, sleep, appetite, and optional photos.
  • Vitals, appointments, questions for a visit, and care-team contacts.

This information is stored locally on the device. Nurtaire does not collect it through a website, account, or developer-operated server. Please add information only when you have a lawful reason and permission to do so.

Where your records are stored

Care records stay in Nurtaire on your iPhone and use the device’s built-in data protection. You can enable an app lock that uses the device’s authentication features. We cannot access the phone or records remotely.

Nurtaire’s website is separate from the app. Visiting this site may cause your browser and hosting provider to process ordinary technical information needed to deliver a webpage, such as an IP address, request time, and browser details. The website does not ask for care or health information and does not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Apple Health readings

If you give permission, Nurtaire can read selected measurements from Apple Health, including supported vital readings. It only reads; it never writes data to Apple Health. Readings you choose to import are copied into the relevant care profile and remain on your iPhone.

Apple Health permissions can be reviewed or changed in iOS Settings. Take care to import only readings that belong to the person whose profile you select.

Backups, exports, and sharing

Nurtaire can create an encrypted backup file on your device. You choose a password or create a recovery key; the app does not store that password with us. The backup must be paired with its password or recovery key to restore it. If you lose the key, Nurtaire cannot recover the backup.

If you enable automatic backup, an encrypted copy is saved to your personal iCloud Drive, at most once a day when you open the app. Apple operates iCloud and processes information under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The backup is encrypted before Nurtaire writes it to iCloud Drive.

You can also export a care file to a destination you choose. The destination provider’s privacy practices apply to any copy you send there. You are responsible for choosing trusted recipients and destinations.

Purchases and subscriptions

In-app purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes payment and Apple Account information under its own terms and privacy policy. Nurtaire receives verified purchase status so it can make the corresponding features available; it does not receive your payment card details.

Learn more in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Subscription terms, renewal details, and pricing are shown by Apple and in the app before purchase.

Reminders and notifications

If you allow notifications, Nurtaire schedules medication reminders locally on your device. The app does not send reminder content to a Nurtaire server. You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings. Notification visibility on a locked screen depends on your device settings.

Your choices and deletion

You can view, correct, or delete care records inside Nurtaire. You can turn off Health access, notifications, or automatic iCloud backup in the relevant app or iOS settings. Removing Nurtaire from your iPhone removes the app and its local data, subject to iOS behavior. It does not delete files you previously exported or backed up to iCloud Drive or another destination; remove those copies separately.

Because Nurtaire does not operate an account or hold care records on a server, there are no server-held care records for us to retrieve or delete.

Children and other people’s information

Nurtaire is a caregiver tool and may be used to organize information about a family member. It is not designed as a service for children to use directly. The person who enters information is responsible for having an appropriate basis to do so and for protecting their device and any exported files.

Not medical advice

Nurtaire helps you keep and share a record. It does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on the app for emergency care or clinical decisions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top shows when the current version was last updated. Material changes will be reflected in a new version of this policy.
